Studiotypes

  • Studiotypes is a Talent company, focused on building teams of amazing talent for game studios all over the World. We're a team of 7, currently all based in the UK and operate as a remote-first team, distributed across London, Manchester and the North East.

We partner with studios in two ways; Campaign Mode: Contingency hiring based on specific studio needs. Coop Mode: Fully embedded, internal talent acquisition for studio growth.

We recruit internationally, and in the UK for top studios such as Abstraction Games, Asobo Studio, Avalanche Studios, Compulsion Games, Happy Volcano, Playground Games, Supermassive, Moon Studios, Offworld Industries, Phoenix Labs, Tuque Games, Torn Banner, Red Barrels, Wonderstorm and many others, hiring talent from all core development and some operations disciplines.

For those teams with whom we are embedded, we are closely tied into the studio culture, helping define their values and acting as brand ambassadors online and in the public domain, so we have the unique vantage point of understanding team dynamics, cultural challenges and team make-up. Through a variety of methods when sourcing for talent, but also assessing team fit and helping plan headcount growth, we are in a unique position to offer ways to diversify talent pools and focus on specific diversity hiring goals to increase opportunities for Women, LGBTQ+ groups or people from underrepresented ethnic backgrounds, as well.

We are often briefed on these sensitivities and aims as part of an internal hiring team, but we also find ways to be more inclusive in addition to supporting the Junior & Graduate end of the market through taking part in webinars and student training talks, which we've done with the likes of Escape Studios in London, and Think Tank Online in Vancouver.

As we grow our team and our business models, we're looking to gain support from the wider community in the UK, harnessing the power and expertise of our industry colleagues and become more involved in supporting initiatives and groups on a local and national level, to help improve the industry in any way we can.
