NSE is delighted to announce that Intel have extended their partnership for the third year running, strengthening a relationship that has worked tirelessly to support the university esports community.
Intel has backed various grassroots esports communities and upholds its support for UK university students by continuing this important partnership for the 2021/2022 academic year.
They will remain the headline partner for the British University Esports Championship, the official esports competition of British universities run by NSE, to help give students that are interested in esports and gaming an amazing experience at university.

The British University Esports Championship reached record-breaking numbers in the last academic year with 1,700 teams from 100 different universities establishing NSE as a key figure in the UK esports industry with the most active grassroots gaming community in the country.
The competition runs for two 8-week periods over the winter and summer terms, in which Warwick University has dominated the leaderboards to win Esports University of the Year for the third year consecutively.

The Intel FutureGen programme, which was first introduced in 2019, will also be returning next year. The programme aims to nurture high achieving student leaders and help develop their skills and enhance their future career prospects. So far, twenty students have benefited from Intel FutureGen and continue to receive support from the programme.
NSE and Intel are also working together on a joint initiative to recognise and reward success stories within the esports community. More details and information will be announced soon.
