Ukie reveals first of kind hallmark esports study among other announcements at AGM

Ukie has released a landmark study on how esports is transforming careers education.

The study, Esports: Engaging Education, is the first of its kind to formally look at the positive impact of the esports industry on students and education.

Other key announcements at the AGM included the new addition to the board, Des Gayle, and the annoucement of our 30 Years of Play campaign, celebrating Ukie’s 30th birthday.

The 2017 - 2018 Digital Schoolhouse Tournament saw over 2,000 students aged 12 - 18, from 20 schools across the UK, take part as either players or as part of the school’s event, press and team management squads. Key Findings of the study saw improvements in skills such as teamwork (80 per cent), communication (74 per cent), improved confidence skills as well as stronger friendship bonds over the course of the tournament (67 per cent).
